CMGC + THSG Secures The Future Of Golf!!
On Sunday we held our first ever Family golf day in conjunction with myself and my School of golf (THSG). Over 50 people attended which included 20 children and their families. The day was organized by myself and CMGC to increase the awareness of golf in the local area. The Deer Park loop was closed for the day and a short Par3 competition was held where all families were invited to take part which was followed by a family foursomes putting competition held on the putting green. After the golf our famous Sunday Lunch was served in the Wyre Suite for each family capping off what was a great day for junior golf.
Each junior golfer was presented with a Ping cap as a memento of the day and invited back to the October academy’s in the school holidays (for more information on the half term academy’s please email on timhallpro@gmail.com
The event was a massive success with many youngsters picking up a golf club for the first time. Since Sunday we have taken on 2 new girl members and had many enquiries for membership and for children taking up the game!! Personally it was great to see so many families up at CMGC which really does prove that west midlands finest is very much a family friendly club!!
